He’s worked across the country- on both coasts, in five different states, including all over the Los Angeles area, in just about every kind of bar and restaurant venue imaginable. “I know what really goes on behind most every bar and I know that most bar owners simply don’t have the time or resources needed to put a stop to it. That’s why I started these businesses. The simple fact is that they do for restaurants and nightclubs what it is virtually impossible for them to do themselves: cost-effectively control the variables undermining beverage profit, without interfering with or obstructing their operations in any way.”

HISTORY

Bar Fly Staff Monitoring Service began as an offshoot of Bevinco SC (www.bevinco.com), an inventory control service for bars and restaurants, which maximizes beverage profit by precisely monitoring product usage as it compares to actual sales. Despite the fact that Bevinco is widely considered the industry’s most effective means of controlling beverage costs, owner, Karl Blatt, found that occasionally his efforts were so stubbornly resisted by unknown staff-members, that he needed to gather more information in order to root out those responsible for continuing to undermine a client’s profitability.

What began with Karl making impromptu visits, secretly taking mental notes, has five years later evolved into a pointed and comprehensive report used by all of the highly qualified secret shoppers currently in our employ.
